English in KS3
English’s ambition for the curriculum is to ensure that pupils receive a broad and balanced curriculum that recognises the importance of reading to enable pupils to progressively build and deepen their knowledge, understanding and skills through all Key Stages.
English’s role in the curriculum is to develop creative and inspired writers who are ambitious and fluent readers, who read for pleasure, resulting in effective, confident and considered communicators. English is accessible and inclusive of all learners. Our intent is that all learners will have the reading ability to access the curriculum and succeed in adult life.

Celebrating Success
The staff and governors of Cavendish wish to congratulate all of our Year 11 pupils for the fantastic GCSE grades they have achieved this year.
Headteacher, Peter Marchant said, "The grades that our pupils have achieved are a reflection of their hard work throughout their time at the school and they can rightly feel proud of what they have achieved through these challenging times."
